SETTINGS
The advert shows no setting, as it’s mainly graphical and illustrated. The black background of the whole advert draws attention to the bright red writing and logos, as they are the most important.

CHARACTERS
The advert again, shows no characters, as the advert is illustrated. However, this could be seen as stereotypical as rock bands don’t usually show themselves on adverts, just the album cover. For example, You Me At Six’s Hold Me Down and Kings Of Leon’s Only By Night. This could be seen as iconic for the rock genre as it’s a stereotypical thing to see.
The album cover of this advert takes up at least two thirds of the advert, as it’s the most recognisable to the audience, drawing in attention.

TECHNICAL
The bands name is the largest text on the advert as it’s the most important, which immediately draws in attention from fans. The second largest text states the most popular singles featured in the album to entice the audience into buying the album or maybe even magazine.
The vibrant red colour against the black is so vivid and bright that it draws in attention from the audience, enticing them to look longer at the poster and come to terms with what it’s about.
